Last Saturday (17th September 2011) in Ratowice by Wrocław the Dirt Jump MTB event took place, organized by the Extreme Sports Club “Jelcz”. The club associates contestants related to the KROSS company, including Marcin Rot, Maciek Małas and Mateusz Latacz. On that sunny day several people from Strzegom, Opole, Wrocław, Skarżysko and some other towns arrived to watch the show. There were really quite a lot of spectators, and the atmosphere at the event was highly relaxing. The DJ was playing hit songs, there was a barbecue, sausages and beer – of course only for the fans. J After the preliminary qualifications, 7 contestants got into the final round. They presented really nice tricks: flips, truckdrivers, 360o tailwhips and even flipwhips. All finalists received numerous prizes and additional 50 PLN to have dun at the evening after-party organized in the nearby school.
Filip "Zoku" Soczyński won the bronze medal, and two of our contestants: Adam Glosowic and Marcin Rot won silver and gold. Then Denis Stelmach from Jelcz won the best trick rivalry, performing a 360o double tailwhip, although Kamil Erbel from Skarżysko was also worth noticing with his frontflips. After the award ceremony, the whole event smoothly transformed into an after-party, but this is a completely different story. ;]
